This dog is being sold as a pet and companion animal. The purchaser agrees to the following conditions: Basic Health “communicable diseases” is guaranteed for a period of 10 days after purchase date. 1. The purchaser will have the dog examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of taking delivery excluding Sundays and Holidays; otherwise the purchaser assumes all responsibility for any illness. This is to protect both the buyer and seller and insure that your puppy is off to a good start with his next set of shots. 2. It is understood that this dog is not to be used for breeding and therefore a limited AKC registration certificate is provided. Limited Registration means that the dog is registered with the AKC but no litters produced by that dog are eligible for registration. 3. The dog is guaranteed to be free of any hereditary or congenital abnormalities that would prevent it from being a good healthy pet and companion. 4. The genetic guarantee is valid for a period of two years. 5. If the dog is unsuitable as a pet in accordance with the above terms, it will be replaced provided it is returned to the seller at the purchaser’s expense “meaning the purchaser is responsible for the transportation of the pet”. All veterinary records documenting the condition will also be made available to the seller at the time of or prior to the return. The seller also reserves the right to a second opinion by her own veterinarian and any testing necessary to make an accurate diagnosis of the condition. If the buyer chooses to keep the dog regardless of a hereditary or congenital health abnormality that prevents it from being a healthy companion, we will also give the option to apply the cost of the puppy to any vet bills that the owner accrues due to the health condition provided we are given the veterinary records documenting the condition as well as the right to a second opinion from our own veterinarian. 6. In the event that the dog’s condition necessitates euthanasia, permission from the seller must be given. This is to insure that a dog is not put down other then for an untreatable medical condition. Believe it or not there are people out there who will put there dog down because of training issues or because they are bored with the pet! 7. The terms of this agreement are void if the dog is used for breeding. 8. If the purchaser finds for any reason that he/she cannot keep this dog, it shall be returned to the seller at purchaser’s expense. Any other arrangements have to be approved by the seller. The purchaser of the above-described dog further agrees to the following conditions. 1. Feed the dog according to the directions provided by the seller or a licensed veterinarian. 2. Provide for the welfare of the dog by yearly health checks, a parasite prevention program, and yearly vaccinations as recommended by his veterinarian and heart worm prevention where applicable. 3. Provide a clean, safe environment where the dog will not be subject to teasing or abuse. 4. The dog will not be allowed to run at large or be chained at any time “to insure the safety of the dog”. 5. The dog or any of its offspring will not be sold, leased, consigned or given to any pet shop, chain store, dog dealer, commercial breeding kennel, puppy mill or individual for resale or breeding purposes. 6. In no case will the seller be held liable for any damage or injury caused by this dog. 7. In the event that the terms of this agreement are not complied with the seller is entitled to money in damages and the return of the dog plus any legal fees and costs associated with the enforcement of this agreement. This Agreement is made and signed by both parties to insure the well being and protection of this puppy/dog. If the Buyer breaches any part of this Agreement, the Seller is released from any obligations under this Agreement.
